We shape brands and build websites, from first decision through launch.

The Studio

A decade of practice.

Since 2013, the studio has built websites and brand systems for emerging brands and established names. Founders, creative directors, executive teams.

A few engagements at a time. Built for depth.

Founded by Tommy Biglow. For work beyond the studio, visit tommybiglow.com.

How We Work

Listen first. Then build.

Every engagement begins with your business: your audience, your goals, and what is getting in the way. We turn that understanding into a clear point of view and plan before design begins or code is written.

We build with regular reviews at key milestones. You stay informed and involved while we manage the work.

Post-launch, you can either take it from there or keep us close with a Partnership Plan. We monitor performance, make improvements, deploy creative, and keep the work current.

What We Believe

Clarity lasts.

The internet got louder. We design for the opposite: work that holds up at a glance and rewards a second look.

Built once. Built well. Built to last.

FAQ

What to know.

What does BIGLOW do?
We shape brands and build the websites, stores, and content around them. Depending on the project, that can include strategy, identity, web design, development, Shopify, copy, photography, and film.
What kinds of clients do you work with?
We work with founders, creative directors, executive teams, and established companies. Our clients range from emerging brands to established names. The common thread is a commitment to doing the work properly.
Do I need to know exactly what I need?
No. Tell us what you are trying to accomplish, what is working, and what is not. We will help define the right scope before the engagement begins.
What is the difference between strategy and brand identity?
Strategy defines the position, audience, offer, and message. Brand identity turns that thinking into a visual system people can recognize and remember. They are distinct disciplines, but they often work best together.
Can BIGLOW handle both design and development?
Yes. Many engagements include both, which gives us control over the quality of the work from the first concept through launch. We also offer design only and development only engagements for teams that already have one side covered.
Can you work with our existing team or finished designs?
Yes. We can collaborate with internal teams, creative partners, and outside agencies. If the designs are already complete, we can take on development. If your team handles engineering, we can provide the strategy and design.
Do you build Shopify stores?
Yes. BIGLOW has more than a decade of Shopify experience, including custom storefronts, Liquid builds, Hydrogen, headless commerce, checkout, lifecycle email and SMS, and analytics.
Do you handle photography, film, and copy?
Yes. Our content work includes voice, copy, photography, film, campaigns, and social content. We direct the work through BIGLOW and bring in trusted specialists when the project calls for them.
How long does a project take?
Timing depends on the scope. Full Engagements generally take 12 to 24 weeks. Design Engagements generally take 6 to 12 weeks. Development Engagements generally take 6 to 14 weeks. We will confirm the schedule before work begins.
How much does an engagement cost?
Every engagement is scoped individually, so the cost depends on the work. Our inquiry form uses broad budget ranges to give us context. Once we understand the project, we will provide a clear scope, timeline, and fee before anything begins.
What does the process look like?
We begin by learning the business, audience, goals, and constraints. From there, we establish a clear point of view and plan. The work is then reviewed at key milestones so you can stay involved without having to manage the process.
How many projects do you take on at once?
A small number. This gives every engagement the attention, collaboration, and focus required to produce the strongest work.
What happens after launch?
We stay available for support, refinements, and ongoing improvements. For clients who need a continuing design and development partner, the Partnership Plan provides a regular monthly working rhythm.
Where is BIGLOW based?
BIGLOW is based in Los Angeles and New York.
