The Work

First-Look is the marketplace and feedback system for original screenplays, built by writers for writers. Writers upload their work, receive a First-Look Score, and match with buyers actively looking for material.

Tom Biglow co-founded the company with the Hayes Brothers (Chad & Carey, screenwriters of The Conjuring) and leads product as CPO. The platform is built here at the studio, with Copycat on copy.

In 2026 First-Look launched a new look and a strategic partnership with Producers365, the global membership network from Hollywood Ventures Group, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter, with an event in Toronto during TIFF. Live and under continuous build.
